Business Description
Our mission is to advocate for, promote and support the animals in the Cumberland County Animal Shelter in order to decrease euthanasia rates and to promote responsible pet ownership.
This page is managed and maintained by volunteers supporting the Cumberland County Animal Shelter, the animals under the shelter's care and the community the shelter serves. IT IS NOT ADMINISTERED, MANAGED OR AFFILIATED WITH CUMBERLAND COUNTY GOVERNMENT OR THE CUMBERLAND COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER.
This is a kill shelter. Animals WILL BE KILLED for space when the shelter is full. DO NOT wait if you are interested in any animal listed.
Page Policies:
- Rude comments, personal attacks on shelter staff, volunteers, county officials, page admins, former owners or anyone else WILL NOT be tolerated. Admins will ban people who do not follow this policy.
- Comments found to be threatening, hurtful or offensive in nature will be removed and the commenter may be banned.
- We give you permission to share our animals and pictures - PLEASE DO! However, please leave contact information attached to the picture so that, four shares later, someone wanting to help or adopt one of our animals has the correct information.
- We cannot place a hold on animals through this page. YOU MUST CONTACT THE SHELTER DIRECTLY at 910-321-6852.
- Animals should not be considered safe until word comes from this page that the animal has left the shelter.
- All animals have only a 72 hour required hold and with the volume entering the shelter each animal should be considered extremely urgent.
